Adam conner-simons, MA
Mental Health Therapist in Greater Boston, MA
Are you interested in making substantive change in your life, but unsure how to go about it? I’m here to compassionately collaborate to help you feel more confident in coping with the challenges that come your way.
I work with teens and adults to explore issues revolving around stress, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, time management, and chronic pain, among other topics. With my background in academia and men’s mental health, I have particular expertise in working with male-identifying individuals and graduate students.
My approach is client-centered and eclectic, spanning modalities that include mindfulness, parts work, emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) and self-compassion. I’ve worked in a range of settings that include mental-health non-profits and college career centers, and earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling at the University of Massachusetts of Boston, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pomona College in California.
In a previous career I was a communications director for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a journalist for the New York Times and the Boston Globe. I live in Cambridge, where I enjoy attending meditation events, cycling, playing jazz/rock piano, and partner dancing.
Please note: Adam is a masters-level clinician working towards his independent license; Adam receives clinical supervision at Back to Good Counseling
