Lilly Schifferdecker, MA
Mental Health Therapist in Greater Boston, MA
Whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition, healing from trauma, or struggling in your relationships, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood while helping you develop skills and tools that create lasting change. Clients describe me as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I strive to balance warmth and compassion with honest conversations that encourage growth.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, and complex trauma. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and adults navigating burnout, self-esteem challenges, and the pressures of an ever-changing world.
I approach therapy from a strengths-based perspective, exploring the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and how they may have developed over time. I integrate evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—to support your goals. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and together we’ll build on your strengths while finding an approach that feels right for you.
My clinical experience includes community mental health and the partial hospitalization (PHP) level of care. I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University.
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning after some time away, my goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make the changes that matter most to you.
